Reliance (RIL) Projects and Business Highlights
With the construction of the Jamnagar refinery, one of the largest refinery in the world, commissioned in 1999, Reliance took a leap in the management of giant projects and demonstrated its capacity to run complex processes.
Since the, Reliance did not hesitated to continue in the same way, first with the $4 billion expansion project of the Jamnagar refinery with additional chemical specialties.
Then in creating the 50/50 joint venture India Gas Solutions with BP to revamp, upgrade, operate the transportation and distribution of natural gas across India.
After years of stop and go, Reliance and BP will also jointly take the challenge to enhance the gas production of the depleting KG-D6 offshore gas field providing with almost 35% of the total gas consumption in India.
Now Reliance is going global and signed partnerships in USA with Chevron, Pioneer Natural Resources and Carrizo Oil & Gas Inc for unconventional resources development with working interest in Marcellus and Eagle Ford shale gas plays.
