The $6 billion Duqm refinery project in Oman moves aheadA year ago, Oman Oil Company (OOC) and the International Petroleum Investment Company (IPIC) – an Abdu Dhabi Government owned company – signed in Abu Dhabi a cooperation agreement on investments in oil, gas and petrochemicals.

This agreement is now taking shape with the decision to move ahead with this $6 billion refinery to be built in the port of Duqm, Oman.

The refinery would have a capacity of 230,000 b/d and would also feed a petrochemical complex.

The tenders have been released for the Project Management Consultancy (PMC) while discussions are still on going for the Technology agreement.

The Invitation To Bid (ITB) should be floated soon regarding the Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) to the FEED qualified companies:The $6 billion Duqm refinery project in Oman moves ahead
